Yoga nidra (Sanskrit: योग निद्रा) or yogic sleep) is a state of consciousness between waking and sleeping, like the “going-to-sleep” stage. It is a state in which the body is completely relaxed, and the practitioner becomes systematically and increasingly aware of the inner world by following a set of verbal instructions.

It is an ancient practice that helps you make your mind more collected and tames the nervous system as you enjoy a peaceful state of mind. This type of yoga acts as a natural stress reliever and is considered quite a powerful relaxation practice. Some practice it to improve their sleep and others just like the other benefits it brings about – like calmness and a less stressful life.
